Brian ‘Jaccomo’ Jones
If ever there were prerequisites for entering domicile of the rock fraternity, Brian Jones would qualify with flying colors. A quintessential ‘Rockstar’ by DNA. His very name by birth brings home to those old enough to remember Brian Jones founding member of the famed classic rock & roll band the Rolling Stones, who passed in July of 1969 under questionable circumstances at his home home at Cotchford Farm, East Sussex, England. He (the former Brian Jones) is also an infamous member of ‘The 27 Club’ whose members stretch decades and include stars such as Jimi Hendrix, Robert Johnson, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Amy Winehouse and more.
Brian ‘Jaccomo’ Jones is a singer, songwriter & guitarist from Kingston, Jamaica who rose to national prominence in the late 90’s with the Jamaican Alternative movement with this four member rock band ‘Downstairs’. They entered the scene with their debut allbum ‘Reggae Metal’ which was produced by Frankie Campbell and Grub Cooper of the famed Jamaican group Fab 5.

Downstairs’ soft more album ’40 Days’, was produced by the famed engineer and producer Stephen Stewart. Songs like ‘The Spirit’ and ‘The Fire’ are a testament to Brian’s songwriting abilities. The album was recorded at the legendary Harry J studio in Kingston by Stewart. Harry J is famous for several legendary Reggae stars such as Bob Marley & the Wailers, Chalice, Burning Spear, Bunny Wailer, Third World, Luciano, Israel Vibration and many more.
Brian continues to grow and is ready to showcase his work in his solo projects under the Yuca Music label and as a writer/ composer for the Yuca Music Publishing catalog. His new material promises to feature best very best of modern rock with a Jamaican flavor. A unique blend of the mainstream with the island.
